Achievement Labs

A space to experiment

Started with curiosity.
Grew with the community.

About the Project

Achievement Labs started as a fork of Xbox Achievement Unlocker (XAU), where I experimented with achievements in tough-to-crack games like Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Halo: MCC) and Forza. Over time, it grew into something bigger, and I wanted to share it so other people could experiment too. Discovering that console titles could also be supported made it the perfect time to expand support for event-based Xbox achievements.

Adding updated tools based on Steam Achievement Manager (SAM), alongside Xbox 360 profile workflows informed by Horizon and legacy Games for Windows Live Achievement Manager (GFWLAM) tooling, helped shape Achievement Labs into an all-in-one achievement toolkit.

The goal is for Achievement Labs to remain open-source and free. Public releases and their features are offered at no cost, with no paid unlocks or feature purchases required. Ideas, contributions, and improvements are always welcome.

Check the Achievement Labs roadmap to see what's next. If you'd like to support development and get involved in early previews of planned Ubisoft, EA Play, GOG, and Epic Games unlockers, consider sponsoring the project when sponsorship opens. These are planned features, and public releases will remain free.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the project through ideas, games, event contributions, testing, and more. Special thanks to @thevampirebat for the work on an awesome mobile release and Mac support. Our Discord community is growing, and new members are always welcome!

Xbox comes first—for now.

Our current focus is the Xbox ecosystem. This website’s support directory covers Xbox console and Xbox-enabled PC games, Xbox 360, Games for Windows Live, and Windows 8. Steam achievement tools are also available today in the Windows desktop app; their coverage is separate from this Xbox directory.

Steam support is already here.

Our Windows desktop app includes Steam Achievement Manager workflows for browsing installed games, inspecting and managing achievements, and working with game sessions. Steam is part of the current toolkit, alongside our Xbox tools.

Ubisoft, EA Play, GOG, and Epic Games achievement integrations remain planned features. Follow the roadmap for updates.
